Parker Posey on The Big C?
Be still my beating heart!
Be still my beating heart!
“Yes, it was pink, goddamn it! It was pink! It was pink and now it is gone!”
By far, my absolute favorite movie, favorite character of all time.
I had always liked Parker Posey, but after seeing this movie it cemented her as one of my most favorite people alive. Bonus points for a young Josh Hamilton, uber young Freddie Prinze Jr, and Tori Spelling as the only character she could never screw up because she’s so bad and it’s so HER.
As a side note after watching this gif…Parker Posey seems to be the only person not to have aged since this movie was released 13 years ago.
amy poehler & parker posey to reunite on parks & recreation
This Parks and Recreation casting coup is made of pure win: Sources confirm to me exclusively that Indie goddess Parker Posey has been tapped to guest star as an old rival of Leslie’s (Amy Poehler) who works in the snooty, richer town next to Pawnee.
BEST NEWS I HAVE EVER HEARD!
Mind. Blown.
Also, I finally got around to seeing the unfortunately straight-to-video Parker Posey/Rachel Dratch/Amy Poehler movie Spring Breakdown and it fullfilled all of my fantasies and more! I think it’s kind of interesting that it went straight to video when it has such an amazing cast (also featuring: Jane Lynch, Missi Pyle, Mae Whitman, Amber Tamblyn, Will Arnett, Loretta Devine, and so so so many more brilliant people) and was genuinely funny. Sure it was completely ridiculous and the storyline was pretty stupid, but I really hadn’t laughed that much watching a movie in a long time and it’s certainly no more stupid than a lot of manboy comedies that are released…and I kind of wonder if that’s the difference? That for some reason manboy comedies are okay and guaranteed to be smash hits, but they don’t want to take the chance when the main characters are instead all women? It’s the only difference I can really see from many of the Judd Apatow pics and I think it’s a real shame. Missi Pyle especially was pure comedic gold and it surprises me that she doesn’t play such openly humorous characters more often and tends to play slightly dramatic roles or more subtle comedic roles.

a Parker Posey movie I really need to revisit very soon
TV Promo of the Day: HBO recently announced a new detective comedy set to air this fall called Bored to Death, which stars every person you’d ever want starring in a show together (Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Parker Posey, and Ted Danson to name a few).
Check out the teaser above while I go outside and make the most of this dream I am presently having, in which Jason Schwartzman and Zach Galifianakis are starring in a TV show together, by attempting to fly on wings of spaghetti.

I want to see this, and I want to have lots and lots of sex with Jason Schwartzman
Parker Posey and Kristen Wiig!? Yes, PLEASE!
the cast of spring breakdown…
netflix you better send this to me tomorrow.
this movie is going to be so awful and the cast is so perfect I can’t effing wait to see this…they have made us wait way too long.
I been workin’ here at the D.Q. for about, um… eight months? Seven? I don’t know, somethin’ like that, it’s fun. Just do the cones… make sundaes, make Blizzards, ‘n… put stuff on ‘em, ‘n… see a lot of people come in, a lot of people come to the D.Q… burgers… ice cream… anything, you know? Cokes… just drive in and get a Coke, if you’re thirsty.
for anyone who isn’t aware [because I’ve been keeping it under wraps as of late], I am completely obsessed with Parker Posey and have a life goal of owning every movie she’s ever been in. Unfortunately she churns them out faster than I am able to afford to pay for them all, so it’s not going well. But dear lord do I love her.
it’s wrong that this went straight to dvd…i mean unless of course it’s a trainwreck, but still it’s a shame either way.
long time no see.
seriously. I think a little marketing and this could have done quite well. There is nobody in this that isn’t awesome. And, I mean, we all know how i feel about Parker Posey…
