The Archer Alignment Chart by Nick Douglas

Everyone on the FX show Archer tends toward chaotic neutral, so I mapped them out on two different axes: Niceness and competence.

I’m impressed with Nick’s solution for the problem that everyone on Archer is kind of a dick.

On Wednesday night CNN’s John King asked all four GOP candidates to define themselves with one word. Yesterday we asked our Facebook fans to do the same thing, and then we made pretty word clouds with their responses.
Can you guess which candidate got the responses above?

Sorry I’m not sorry for finding this absolutely hilarious

This kind of surprises me that up until the most recent issue (gay marriage), Michigan has been incredibly progressive. So maybe we should get back to our roots, dear Michiganders?

My dislike of pants is not a huge secret to most people who know me, so I most certainly approve of this chart!
ilovecharts:

I don’t know where that very misguided chart about wearing pants went to, but either way, I fixed it immediately.
In the great words of Homer J. Simpson, “Don’t you hate pants?”
-exexexexexexex
I also have no idea where it went. Weird…
I’m going to take my pants off and get to the bottom of this. Pause.
(Also, we should all be thankful I couldn’t figure out how to leave a picture response to this from my other account, as was my original intention.)

This is quite excellent!

To begin exploring how air pollution may affect your community, use our snazzy interactive map of more than 17,000 facilities that have emitted hazardous chemicals into the air. Color-coded dots and scores of one to five smoke stacks are based on an EPA method of assessing potential health risk in airborne toxins from a given facility. More smoke stack icons signify higher potential risks to human health. Zoom in to your neighborhood by clicking on the map or use the search box to find the area you’re looking for.

Despite our struggling economy, downtown Detroit is on an upswing — finally.

With its abandoned storefronts and hollowed-out, Art Deco-era office buildings serving as the image of urban decay, the commercial district is wooing new businesses through public and private incentives. The migration into the city is occurring even as the city itself faces a potential cash shortfall by next spring.
In the last two and a half years, new people working downtown increased by more than 10 percent, or 9,000 new jobs, according to the Detroit Economic Growth Corp. The biggest influx has been in the last 12 months, lured by office rents well below those in other major cities.

Good news, Detroit! Let’s all celebrate by helping their economy more. Grab a copy of eLmatic. Now!

O beautiful for spacious skies and unfathomable greed…

This is what 30 years of lax and poorly enforced regulation, bad policy, and media complicity looks like.

I would actually say this is probably the most striking & compelling statistic related to everything happening. I would be curious to delve into the source material more, and am posting this on good faith that it is at least mostly accurate.
