Thankfully, my stubbornness to see it through to the end is winning out over my complete and utter lack of self-discipline/motivation.
I suppose it also helps that this is the first time I’ve actually seen any kind of results (20 pounds lost since December!)

Bradley Whitford to Guest Star on Parks &... →
synecdoche:
Though Schur hadn’t seen the finished episode yet, he said there were several small “West Wing” homages in it, and he told the director if there was room for a “West Wing”-style walk-and-talk with Amy Poehler and Bradley Whitford, he “wouldn’t complain.” But don’t look for a mini-“West Wing” reunion in Pawnee: Rob Lowe, who played Seaborn, did not share a scene with his “West Wing”...

Jean-Ralphio is the Amazing Spiderman
rejectedjokes:
The wonderful people at CollegeHumor edited this together at breakneck speed after so many people tweeted/posted about Jean-Ralphio kinda looking like the Amazing Spiderman. To those editors (especially Sam Jacobson, I know it was you, you sly dog) I say kudos and thank you. To everyone else I say enjoy the trailer now as it will inevitably be taken down for breaking 1000...

One Town's War on Gay Teens | Rolling Stone →
Like many 13-year-olds, Brittany knew seventh grade was a living hell. But what she didn’t know was that she was caught in the crossfire of a culture war being waged by local evangelicals inspired by their high-profile congressional representative Michele Bachmann, who graduated from Anoka High School and, until recently, was a member of one of the most conservative churches in the area. When...

THE STORY OF A SUICIDE: Two college roommates, a... →
I saw this article going around quite a bit today on Tumblr, and I just now got around to reading it in full (I tried at work at one point, but realized that wasn’t going to happen). It’s as amazing a read as everyone is making it out to be, and worth the time looking at this insightful article detailing the events of Tyler Clementi’s suicide. The whole situation is incredibly...

The technical aspects, the writing, the acting, the cast…they’re all superb, and in my opinion one of J.J. Abrams best efforts, yet it doesn’t ever seem to receive much buzz from critics or the public.
